Unit 1: Ice Breakers

Introduction

Through these activities students and mentors get to know each other, their likes and dislikes and things they have in common with one another.

Mentors and mentees share their different communication tools, strategies and methods and learn more through questions and guided conversation.

Students gain an understanding of the roles of the mentor and mentee and how they will be working together.

Getting Acquainted Activities are currently being adapted for Lower Elementary students. These activities are similar to those found in the other curricular sections – to view these activities, go to Upper Elementary and Middle School.
